Bread soup

  Ingredients for 6 people: Toast the slices of bread, rub with the garlic and put in a pot. Cover with cold water, put on the fire and take to boil. In a saucepan with the oil put the garlic, the tomato, the salt and the pepper and cook for ten minutes around. Pour then in the pot with the bread and add the parsley and the carnation flower (chiodo di garofano). Serve when the bread has amalgamated with the tomato and the soup it results dense.  
50 g. slices of stale bread
  500 g. of tomatoes  
3 cloves of garlic
1 carnation flower
pepper, oil, salt
